Emily Ratajkowski Tells Comedian To Stop Mimicking Her Instagram Photos

Emily Ratajkowski has told a comedian to stop mocking her racy Instagram photos after years of viral imitations.

The 33-year-old first gained fame with her role in Nickelodeon’s iCarly before breaking into Hollywood.

She’s since starred in films like Gone Girl, We Are Your Friends, and I Feel Pretty.

If not from movies, most people know her face from Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams’ infamous Blurred Lines music video.

But these days, Ratajkowski is just as known for her revealing Instagram posts as she is for acting.

And it’s those posts that comedian Celeste Barber has been recreating online for laughs.

Celeste Barber’s Parodies Go Viral

Barber, a popular Australian comic, has made a career out of mocking celebrity selfies.

She’s targeted countless stars with her goofy recreations, including Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

In 2021, Barber posted a parody of Ratajkowski’s bikini shot, captioning it with a cheeky rant about body objectification.

While fans often found the jokes hilarious, Ratajkowski herself wasn’t too thrilled about becoming Barber’s punchline.

Barber recently admitted on Australia’s Fitzy and Wippa radio show: “I don’t think Emily is a fan.”

She added: “That’s okay, she doesn’t have to love it. But she actually blocked me.”

Ratajkowski Explains Why She’s Upset

The model addressed the drama on her own podcast, High Low with EmRata.

“This whole Celeste thing has blown up more than it should have,” she explained.

“In general, I find her really funny. But I told her I don’t want her doing this to me anymore.”

Ratajkowski stressed that her request wasn’t about hating humor but about consent.

“I’m not giving her permission for the joke anymore. It landed at a bad time in my life.”

She added: “I want to do my thing. Whether that’s writing, or speaking on female safety, or running my swimwear line.”

The star has long been vocal about how beauty and modeling shaped her career.

She previously told USA Today that producers often turned her down because she was “too pretty” for certain roles.

In her book My Body, Ratajkowski also explored the dark side of being admired for her looks.

She wrote: “The men who desired women gave them that power. They were the ones actually in control.”

On her podcast, she explained her deeper issue with Barber’s skits.

“We love to pick on female influencers. They’re treated as trash, cringey, and embarrassing. I think that’s sexist.”

“Of course women want to be influencers. It’s one of the few ways women can build independence and money. They’re hustling.”

Barber Fires Back

Speaking to Marie Claire, she admitted: “I love running my mouth. I do it constantly.”

She continued: “I don’t like feeling like I have to censor myself, but sometimes I definitely do.”

“At other times, I don’t care at all and operate like I’ve already been cancelled.”

Barber also suggested that no matter what she does, she’ll face criticism from someone.

“They hate you one day, then the next day you’re suddenly brilliant,” she said.

Fans remain divided over the feud. Some back Ratajkowski for standing up against unwanted parody. Others think Barber’s comedy is harmless.

What’s clear is that both women are sticking to their guns — and the internet can’t stop talking about it.
