This image is one of those that takes your breath down! The prints above the Coppel store ablaze, dears shooting out of the door, firefighters scattering water. The one below 5 womanish workers trapped in a small room, in livery, filled with bank, hugging each other, crying, one on her cell phone knowing they’re not going to get out.
It was 1037 PM. The store was formerly closed. Five workers were counting wares in the reverse storehouse. A short circuit in the mattress area unleashed chaos in 40 seconds. The only exigency exit was locked to “ help theft. ” The director had the key and was formerly in his auto, 3 km down. The last print one of them transferred said “ Boss, there’s bank, we ca n’t get out. ” He ignored it.

CULIACÁN, SINALOA — The two prints above are hell. Fire erupting from the entrance of Coppel Hidalgo. Columns of black bank visible from 2 km down. Firefighters evacuating 3 tanker exchanges.
The print below is purgatory. A bitsy room, 2 × 2 measures. No windows. Five women in blue Coppel uniforms. Name markers Brenda, Karla, Itzel, Yareli, and Doña Cuca. Ages 19 to 54. All musketeers. All maters
, daughters, or sisters of someone.
Brenda, 19, is screaming into her cell phone. She was the last bone
to have a signal. Itzel, 22, is kneeling and soliciting. Karla, 25, and Yareli, 21, are embracing each other, formerly unconscious from the bank. Doña Cuca, 54, the cleaning lady, is standing in the reverse, gaping at the ceiling. As if staying for a phenomenon.
The phenomenon did n’t be. At 1102 PM, Brenda’s cell phone stopped recording. At 1115 PM, firefighters broke through the wall of the storehouse room. They set up them at 500, embracing each other. They were no longer breathing.
February 9, 2026. Month- end ending. Coppel Hidalgo. 1000 PM. The store closes at 900 PM.
The director, Ramiro G., 38, was under pressure from the indigenous office “ If the appliance force does n’t balance, they take down your perk. ” Two refrigerators and one washing machine were missing from the system.$ 18,000 pesos lost.
At 915 PM, when there were no further guests, Ramiro gathered the 5 bottom workers and told them “ nothing leaves until they appear. Go to the reverse storehouse room and relate everything again. ”
Coppel’s rules state “ Minimum 2 people in the store and an open exigency exit. ” Ramiro broke both rules. He left the five workers alone and locked the main exigency door “ so they ca n’t fluently leave and leave the force lying around. ” He took the only key.
