But they never made it.

Vishwashkumar Ramesh was in seat nA on the London-bound Boeing 787 flight
when it crashed shortly after take off in Ahmedabad, western India.

Mr Rameshโ€™s brother, Nayan Kumar Ramesh, told BBC News Vishwashkurnar โ€œhas
no idea how he survivedโ€ and escaped the plane as the only survivor.

On June 12, 2025, an Air India flight departed from Ahmedabad, India, heading for
London Gatwick but crashed soon after liftoff.

On their X account, Air India reported that the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was
transporting 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven from Portugal, and one
Canadian citizen. The aircraft crashed within minutes of takeoff and burst into
flames.
