Public attention regarding Donald Trump’s health has grown more intense during his second term, particularly after years of Trump questioning the fitness of his political opponents. Currently, social media is captivated by a new and peculiar theory: the possibility that the former president is wearing a catheter. These speculations arise from Trump’s limited medical disclosures in comparison to rivals like Kamala Harris, who provided her complete medical records during the 2024 campaign.
At 78 years old, Trump is the oldest president to commence a second term. A medical assessment from White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella affirmed that he is in good health, detailing normal test results and mentioning minor concerns such as a benign colon polyp and diverticulitis. The report also indicated his use of cholesterol medication, previous cataract surgeries, and a scheduled follow-up in 2027, concluding that Trump is in “robust” physical and mental condition.
Nevertheless, a viral image from a June 2025 UFC event rekindled public speculation. In the photo, Trump, alongside champion Kayla Harrison, seemed to have an unusual line running down his right pant leg. Internet users quickly speculated that it could be a Foley catheter tube, while others proposed the possibility of leg braces or indications of neurological issues due to visible bruising on his hands.
Critics of this theory argued that the line could merely be a crease in the pants. Medical experts pointed out that visible Foley catheters are uncommon outside of hospital environments unless there are significant health concerns involved.
The White House firmly rejected the rumors. Spokesperson Steven Cheung labeled them as politically motivated and stressed that Trump’s recent health report refutes any allegations of medical issues.
