All it takes is a restless night or a suspicious little red dot on the skin for the alarm to go off: bed bugs could be there. Just thinking about it makes you look back at it. However, there is no need to panic or avoid using chemicals. There are natural alternatives that are gentle on your home, but very insect-deterrent. Focus on two very beneficial ingredients that you should definitely pay attention to: diatomaceous earth and cloves.
Diatomaceous earth: a fine but particularly effective powder
Diatomaceous earth has been used for a long time in the garden or in care and is a real natural treasure. This powder is made from fossilized microscopic algae and dries out crawling insects, such as bed bugs, ants, or fleas, until they are neutralized.
How to use it against bed bugs?
Prepare your space: vacuum the mattress, box spring, baseboards, nooks and crannies.
Apply the powder: Sprinkle it lightly (but evenly) around the bed, on the legs of the frame, along the carpets, and in any crevices.
