A Jersey Mike’s Subs employee in Navarre, Fla. discovered a note in the bathroom asking for help and listing an address
Deputies say they found a woman with visible injuries who alleged her boyfriend, Jordan Williams, held her captive and assaulted her for months
Williams, a wrestler who performs as “Jayden Steele,” has been charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, battery and false imprisonment
A crumpled note in a Jersey Mike’s Subs bathroom may have saved a woman’s life, leading Florida authorities to a home where they say she was held captive, beaten and isolated by her pro-wrestler boyfriend.
The note — which included a plea for help and the address of a nearby apartment — was found inside the Navarre sub shop by an employee who called police, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a press release.
“There was this little piece of crumpled up paper that was shoved next to our toilet paper dispenser, and it looked like a piece of trash,” employee Eleanor Coffee told NBC 15. “She was like, ‘Please help me. I’m at this address in Navarre. I need you to call the police and do a wellness check.’”

Employees at the sandwich shop contacted authorities, who carried out a wellness check at the address. There, they found a battered 29-year-old woman who detailed “repeated assaults, threats involving weapons, and being held in isolation for a span of several months,” per the release.
The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment of multiple injuries, including suspected broken bones, according to the release.
The woman’s boyfriend, 34-year-old Jordan Williams, was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and false imprisonment, felony and misdemeanor battery, and battery by strangulation, per the police.
