‘Should Not Happen’: McEnany Drops Receipts After Dem Complains About Gov’t Layoffs

After former Obama official Marie Harf criticized recent government layoffs, Fox News anchor Kayleigh McEnany defended them.

A 2017 Washington Post article about bureaucrats opposing President Trump during his first term was referenced by McEnany.

In an effort to streamline federal operations, Trump established the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which resulted in some job losses. Some employees, according to McEnany, were staying “out of spite” and undermining the government.

According to Harf, the terminations were unethical and unlawful. Despite union protests, a federal judge recently approved USAID layoffs.

Governmental resistance “should not happen,” according to McEnany, who framed it as a test of the American people’s will.
