Post Malone made an unexpected holiday gesture in Houston on Christmas Eve ahead of a major performance.
The singer was in the city the night before appearing alongside Beyoncé at NRG Stadium. The show featured a halftime performance tied to the Houston Texans game.
Post Malone, who spent part of his childhood in Texas, visited a local bar with fellow performer Shaboozey.
Shaboozey also appeared with Beyoncé during the halftime show. The two musicians stopped by the Railyard, located in Houston’s Galleria area, to have drinks and meet fans.
According to a representative for the bar, patrons repeatedly offered to cover Post Malone’s drinks. The singer declined those offers but insisted on being charged a small amount.

Staff said he wanted to ensure he could properly tip the bar employees.
When bartender Renee Brown closed out the tab at the end of her shift, she noticed something unexpected. Post Malone had left a $20,000 tip on a $1 charge.
The moment quickly spread after staff shared the story.
Bartender calls gesture life changing
Brown later described the tip as a life-changing surprise. She is a single mother who works two jobs and homeschools her daughter. In a statement, she said the generosity caught her completely off guard.
“This definitely wasn’t the Christmas Eve I was expecting,” Brown said. She added that it was a moment she would always be grateful for. Brown said the gesture made a significant difference for her and her family.

Railyard owner Trey Melcher also praised Post Malone’s behavior that night.
He said the singer made everyone in the bar feel comfortable and welcome. Melcher noted that the bar has hosted several celebrities in the past.
Actors David Spade and Kiefer Sutherland have previously visited the venue, according to Melcher. However, he said Post Malone’s act stood out.
“This unexpected act of kindness made all of our holiday seasons brighter,” Melcher said.
