Vanessa Trump revealed Wednesday night that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer and recently underwent a medical procedure as she begins treatment.
“I want to share a personal health update,” she wrote. “I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.”
She added that the diagnosis was unexpected and confirmed she is working closely with her medical team on a treatment plan. While she did not disclose details about the stage of her illness, she said she has already undergone a recent procedure as part of her care.
Vanessa Trump said she is staying focused on recovery while relying on support from her family and close friends. “I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me,” she wrote.
She ended her message by thanking supporters for their kindness and asking for privacy during her treatment, noting that the support has meant a great deal to her.
The announcement prompted public messages of support from members of the Trump family. Ivanka Trump responded publicly with a message of encouragement and support, while Tiffany Trump also showed support by interacting with the post.
Vanessa Trump, who shares five children with Donald Trump Jr., has largely kept a lower public profile in recent years compared to her earlier visibility within the Trump family circle. Her personal life briefly returned to headlines earlier this year amid public confirmation of a relationship with golfer Tiger Woods.
Her health announcement has since drawn widespread attention online, with many expressing sympathy and well wishes as she begins treatment and recovery.
