”You got stomped”: Erika Kirk roasted after speaking out on Turning Point USA’s halftime show

Turning Point USA’s “All American Halftime Show” sparked a mix of praise and criticism from viewers.

Erika Kirk, in particular, found herself at the center of an online backlash, with many mocking a specific comment she made about the show.

Erika Kirk found herself in the hot seat online after praising Turning Point USA’s (TPUSA) “All American Halftime Show,” an alternative broadcast that aired during the 2026 Super Bowl on February 8.

The conservative-themed event, featuring Kid Rock and other country stars, was designed to be an alternative to the official halftime show by Bad Bunny.

But Kid Rock’s performance came under heavy criticism, with many accusing him of lip-syncing during one of his songs and mocking him online.

However, following the event, Erika — who now leads TPUSA after the passing of Charlie Kirk — posted a tribute on X celebrating the show. She shared a montage of Charlie and called the event “so incredible.”

“The @TPUSA All-American Halftime Show was so incredible. Charlie would’ve absolutely loved it. Thank you to the millions that tuned in.”

“It’s okay to love Jesus and your country. Ultimately, this is what it’s all about,” she added.

However, Erika’s celebratory post quickly collided with online criticism, as users compared the alternative’s viewership with Bad Bunny’s.

Early reports suggested Bad Bunny’s halftime show drew over 130 million viewers worldwide, placing it among the most-watched Super Bowl performances ever. In contrast, TPUSA’s alternative reportedly attracted around six million viewers. The massive gap became the focus of online ridicule, with critics mocking Erika’s tone

“You got stomped,” one user wrote.

“144 million people watched Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show vs only 6 million watched Kid Rock’s halftime show,” another added.

“But only the bunny was worth watching,” a third user chimed in.

”I thought Charlie was against pedophilia? Why was Kid Rock performing?,” another person questioned.

“She thought TP was going to get more views,” one commenter said, while another suggested, “Probably should just keep silent.”

One person summed it up more diplomatically: “I personally enjoyed the theatrics of Bad Bunny’s performance much more than Turning Point. They both had their pros and cons.”

“MAGA Barbie”

As the backlash escalated, Erika’s post drew sharply divided reactions. Some critics targeted her personally:

“She is so irrelevant. I couldn’t care less about anything that comes out of her mouth.”

“MAGA Barbie,” another wrote.

“The irony is that she wants to unite the country!!”

Supporters of the TPUSA show pushed back immediately: “It was phenomenal! Thank you for giving us an alternative,” one fan said.

“Everyone on stage put their heart and soul into every song.”

”You made Charlie proud. He was smiling from heaven tonight,” added another.

”It was great. The only part I didn’t like was Kid Rock lip syncing his #1 song. I get it, he was trying to entertain instead of sing, but that always looks bad,” a fourth wrote.

“Erika, I was in tears! Great job! We love you,” a fifth shared.

Candace Owens weighs in

The controversy also reignited Erika’s feud with Candace Owens, who questioned the show’s reported viewership.

“The problem with people who have a lot of money they didn’t earn is that they tend to have no idea how stuff actually works,” Owens wrote on X.

“No, this is not a possible result if you truly had 5.2 million live viewers. Sorry, America, everything is still fake and gay until further notice.”

Owens further speculated that TPUSA might have spent an “offensive amount” on YouTube ads to boost numbers.

TPUSA’s alternative show was created as a counter to Bad Bunny, whose halftime performance had already been criticized by right-leaning figures, including former President Donald Trump, who called it “absolutely terrible” and “one of the worst, EVER.”

But in a funny twist, Trump’s own golf club watch party was caught on camera showing Bad Bunny’s performance — even though he’s supposedly “anti” watching it.
