Boys or Girls

A blonde, a brunette, and a redhead were sitting in the OB/GYN’s office. The brunette and the redhead were talking about whether they were expecting boys or girls.

The redhead said, “I was on top during conception, and the doctor said that’s how you get a boy.”

The blonde, overhearing this, started to cry.

The brunette added, “I was on the bottom, and the doctor said that’s how you get a girl.”

The blonde began crying even harder. Alarmed, the brunette and redhead rushed over to ask what was wrong.

The blonde sobbed, “Red is having a boy, you’re having a girl… and I just realized I’m having puppies!”

Later, the blonde, the brunette, and the redhead die and go to heaven. They are greeted by St. Peter, who looks serious.

“Unfortunately, heaven is full at the moment,” he explains. “So you must each undergo a test. Before you is a stairway to heaven with one thousand steps. On each step, I will tell a joke. They get progressively funnier, and the last step has the funniest joke ever. If you laugh at any point, you will be sent straight to hell. Do you understand?”

The three nod nervously.

They step onto the first stair, and St. Peter tells the worst joke imaginable. None of them laugh, so they move on.

By the 365th step, the redhead bursts out laughing and is immediately sent to hell. The blonde and brunette continue.

At the 800th step, the brunette doubles over in laughter and is also sent to hell.

St. Peter keeps telling jokes, trying to make the blonde laugh, but she remains stoic.

When they reach the 1,000th step, before St. Peter can even begin the joke, the blonde shrieks with laughter, dying from it in the process. She, too, is sent to hell.

Confused, St. Peter descends to hell and finds the blonde.

“My child,” he asks, “you were doing so well. Why did you start laughing? I hadn’t even told the joke yet.”

The blonde, still laughing, replies, “I finally got the first joke!”
