Minnesota Governor Tim Walz publicly urged the federal government to withdraw ICE agents, calling the operations “sickening” and warning against using local communities as political staging grounds. The incident has prompted protests, social media debate, and nationwide scrutiny over how federal enforcement interacts with local jurisdictions.

Attorney General Pam Bondi and federal officials emphasized that obstruction of federal operations is a crime, while community groups have sought to support residents and advocate for transparency.
