Erika Kirk Shaken by Gunfire at White House Correspondents Dinner she was…

Erika Kirk, widow of assassinated Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, fought back tears backstage at the White House Correspondents Dinner after gunshots erupted Friday night. The grieving conservative leader, who stepped up as CEO of TPUSA following her husband’s brutal September 2025 murder, was forced to hide under a table as chaos unfolded at the Washington Hilton.

Eyewitness video shows Kirk visibly distraught, repeatedly telling handlers “I just want to go home” while being escorted out. Kash Patel and others rushed to console her amid the panic. Secret Service agents swiftly neutralized the threat when a gunman armed with guns and knives stormed a security checkpoint outside the ballroom. One officer suffered a minor injury, but the suspect was quickly taken into custody and President Trump along with attendees were safely evacuated.

This disturbing breach at the annual swamp gathering of media elites and celebrities comes less than a year after Charlie Kirk’s assassination at a Utah event. Conservatives are rightly asking how such a lapse could occur despite heavy security presence. While the left’s favorite dinner party went on, one more reminder landed for America’s patriots: radical violence against our movement is far from over, and true safety remains elusive in Biden-Harris leftover Washington. Erika Kirk showed grace under fire, just as her late husband did. The fight continues.
