Omaha QT Shooting Shock: Officers Ambushed Inside Gas Station

What should have been a normal afternoon at the QuikTrip on 32nd and L Streets turned into a chaotic police emergency that has shaken the entire area. Police say two officers were injured, though their injuries are considered non-life-threatening. But the real shock came during the press briefing held right outside the scene. According to WOWT’s reporting, Chief Todd Schmaderer confirmed the man who died was suspected in a shooting earlier that day at Phil’s Foodway — where a man in his 50s was shot in the chest multiple times around noon.
