Shooting at Detroit-Area Hospital

An active shooter incident occurred Thursday morning at
Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital, north of Detroit.
The attack began around 7:08 a.m. in the hospital’s parking garage,
triggering lockdown procedures and a massive police response.
- Hospital Employee Identified as Shooter
Authorities confirmed the suspect was a hospital employee who
shot a 25-year-old coworker twice in the arm.
The motive remains unclear, but both individuals worked at the same facility, deepening the shock among staff.
- Victim in Stable Condition
The wounded employee was treated immediately in the
hospital’s emergency department and later listed as stable.
Hospital officials said he is expected to recover fully.
