The Pastor who collected all his spiritual Anointing Oil from a River Goddess, eventually initiated me into his rituals.
I thought it’s just normal church ordination, not knowing it’s more than that.

My friend Mark told me that he’s part of the top leaders in that church, and that if I join, more wealth, that’s how I joined. And the scariest thing is that, 2 weeks after I finally got initiated, things started getting more flourishing. Deals, wealth in my possession, this was me that had lost all earlier on.

I bought a new car, and my bank account was overflowing. “Julian, see your life now!” Mark told me one evening while we were drinking expensive wine.

“You are now a big girl. The struggle is over forever.” I smiled, but inside, I felt a bit cold. “Mark, I hope this wealth is truly clean,” I said. Mark just laughed loudly.

“Money is money, my friend. Don’t think too much, just enjoy the grace of the Prophet.”
But one midnight, I woke up and saw 3 red pants close to me on my bed. I got up so so frightened, because I have never seen this before.

The room was locked, the windows were shut. “How did these get here?” I whispered, my voice shaking. I took the pants and disposed of them, because I don’t know how they entered into my room. I threw them into the dustbin outside and ran back into my house, locking every door.

The next morning, I went to meet the Pastor. He smiled and told me that the spirit is requesting that I bring three pants from my mom…

I shifted.

“How?, how will a spirit ask that?, what does he want to use it for?, is he planning to marry my mom?” I asked, my heart beating like a drum. The Pastor’s smile disappeared, and his eyes became very sharp and dark.

“Young woman don’t be sarcastic. In every organization or things in life, there are duties or sacrifices you pay. This is not even a big deal. Ask your friend Mark. This is the little things we do for the huge wealth you receive.”

Mark was standing by the door, nodding his head. “Julian, why are you making a simple thing look hard?” Mark asked. “It’s just a small piece of cloth. Your mother has many. Just take three and bring them here. It is for your own protection and more wealth.”

“But Mark, this feels wrong,” I argued. “Why my mother’s own? Why something so private?”
The Pastor stood up and walked toward me. “The spirits of the water that gave you that millions you are spending now are the ones asking. If you refuse, do you think they will let you keep the money? Do you want to go back to begging for food on the street?”

I looked at the floor, feeling trapped. The thought of being poor again made me sweat. “Okay,” I whispered. “I will do it.”

I decided to just reluctantly go to my mom’s house to take this nasty risk;

If he can bring this sacrifice and I successfully accomplish it, what other sacrifices will he and his River Goddess come up with again?
