A couple had amazing seats right behind their favorite team’s bench. It was her first time watching a live football game, and she spent the whole match cheering, laughing, and staring in awe. After the game, her boyfriend asked, “So, did you like it?”
“Oh, I loved it!” she said. “All the energy, the tight pants, the muscles… but one thing confused me.” He raised an eyebrow. “What confused you?”
“Well,” she said seriously, “I just don’t understand why they were fighting so hard over 25 cents.”
Her boyfriend blinked. “Twenty-five cents? What are you talking about?”
She explained, “They flipped a coin, right? One team got it. But then the entire game, everyone kept shouting ‘Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!’ I’m sitting there thinking… it’s only 25 cents!”
He stared at her for a moment before bursting into laughter, realizing she had no idea that a quarterback wasn’t literal spare change.
