Billy Bob and Luther were sitting outside one warm afternoon, talking about life like they always did. After a long pause, Billy Bob leaned back in his chair and said, “Ya know, Luther, I reckon I’m ’bout ready for a real vacation this year… only this time I’m gonna do things a little differently.”
Luther raised an eyebrow. “Differently? How so?”

Billy Bob sighed. “Well, these last few years, I been takin’ your vacation advice, and it ain’t exactly worked out the way I planned.”
He held up one finger. “Three years ago you told me to go to Hawaii. Beautiful place, sure enough… but Earlene ended up pregnant.”
Then he held up another finger. “Two years ago you said the Bahamas was the spot. I went. And wouldn’t ya know it—Earlene got pregnant again.”

Finally, he shook his head and said, “And last year you swore up and down that Tahiti was paradise. I went… and I’ll be darned if Earlene didn’t end up pregnant again.”
Luther blinked, confused. “Well, Billy Bob, what in the world are you plannin’ to do different this year?”

Billy Bob didn’t miss a beat. He tapped the table, leaned forward, and said:
“This year, Luther… I’m takin’ Earlene with me.”
