A serious traffic accident left one person dead and six injured, all belonging to the same family from the municipality of Valmore Rodríguez, located on the Eastern Coast of the Lake, Zulia state, Venezuela.

The accident occurred in the afternoon of Sunday, June 30, 2025, on the Oriente highway, near the Valle Lindo sector, in the jurisdiction of the Capistrano municipality, in the state of Anzoátegui.
The deceased was identified as Yolimar Jiménez, 35, who died while being transferred to a health center.
According to sources close to the family consulted by El Regional del Zulia, Jiménez suffered moderate head trauma and closed pneumothorax as a result of the impact.

The vehicle involved in the accident, a Toyota Machito pickup truck, was driven by Henry Briceño, the victim’s husband, who suffered minor injuries.
Among the injured are: Yenimar Jiménez, 36, Waleska Briceño, 21, and three minors aged 9, 6, and 2, who suffered multiple bruises.
All those affected were immediately transferred to the Type I Hospital in Boca de Uchire, where they received medical attention.
The family was on their way back to their home in the Casas Bote neighborhood of Lechería after spending a relaxing weekend in Colonia Tovar, Aragua state.

While traveling along the Eastern Highway, in the Valle Lindo sector, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.
The tragic event has caused deep sorrow in the communities of Valmore Rodríguez, particularly among those close to the Briceño and Jiménez families, who expressed their dismay at the unexpected loss.
The accident once again highlights the need to strengthen prevention and road safety measures on national highways, especially during periods of high family mobility.
